Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year!
We're excited to work with you and your students in the upcoming 2012-2013 school year! We applaud your school's dedication and commitment to college and career planning, and we're excited to continue partnering with your staff as we empower and equip your students for success through the online and classroom curriculum, resources and tools within Navigation101.


Please be sure that you and your staff members join us for our Navigation 101 Kickoff Webinar for 2012-2013. We will offer 2 live sessions on September 11 and September 18  and recordings will be available as well. Please note that webinars represent one of four types of professional services offered by Envictus in support of your implementation. Specific opportunities are described later in the newsletter.

· Product Training – helps you get the most out of; public sessions included in subscription (private or onsite also available)
· Webinar Series –monthly best practices sharing by practitioners; available for fee (OSPI covers this fee for all Washington State schools)
· Professional Development –in-depth sessions on topics to deepen your implementation; fee-based and available online or onsite
· Consulting – one-on-one coaching from a veteran educator; fee based


Over the summer, we have promoted your students to the next grade level and have archived your graduating students. To create accounts for your new students and new staff members, please use your school's registration codes. We've also been working hard to make enhancements to Navigation 101. One thing you will notice immediately is our new login screen that will alert you to all of our upcoming events. We have quite a few additional projects coming up, so stay tuned for details!


Product Training Opportunities in August

Getting Started with Navigation 101 - This introductory training provides the details to get started using Navigation 101 including registering advisors and students, accessing curriculum and utilizing resources and tools.

Navigation 101 Refresh and Extend- This training is geared towards more experienced users and focuses on going deeper with technology and fine tuning implementation plans.

  • Tuesday, August 28, 2012 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Professional Development and Consulting Services

Based on popular demand, Envictus is offering professional development courses during the 2012-2013 school year to support your staff in expanding and implementing the Navigation 101 program at your school. These courses will provide in-depth examples of how schools deepen the impact of Navigation 101 by utilizing the online and classroom curriculum, college and career planning tools, data tracking and reporting and more. Educators may select to attend public online offerings of these sessions or arrange for an online or in-person session dedicated to your school or district on a date and time that you select.


Training and Professional Development Sessions are led by an experienced principal and are delivered exclusively for your staff. The following services can be accessed on an a la carte basis and can be offered for all staff or a select group of advisors, counselors and/or teachers (typically 2 hrs per topic):


Why Navigation 101 and What Is My Role as an Advisor? This session provides research and philosophy underlying the Navigation 101 program.

Beyond Buy-In: Learn how to actively engage teachers, counselors, students and parents in your implementation plan.

Public Offering of Building Buy-In: Sept. 26 - 8-10am PST; 11-1:00pm EST; only $300 per school.

Preparing for Student-Led Conferences: Learn tips and techniques to empower your students to showcase their success and lead their own conferences. Customized sessions upon request (may require additional consulting hours)


Investment - may be coordinated or shared across multiple schools

$1,750 per full day on site (inclusive of travel) –combine or repeat above topics

$1,250 per half-day on site (inclusive of travel if within state)

$750 per half-day web-based (dedicated session for your school)

$500 per two hours web-based (dedicated session for your school)


In addition to our professional development sessions, we also offer the services of a senior education or technology consultant to address specific challenges or opportunities. Deliverables available:

Bulk student registration for 500 students (ask for fee scale for additional students)

Creation of Navigation 101 Strategic Plan

Best Practices Tip: Printing out your Student Roster

As a reminder, advisors can look up student account information for any student who has forgotten his or login credentials. Simply go to the "Students" tab:








Search for the student using the student filter:


And the login credential of the student will appear in the student roster box:










You can also use this feature to generate an excel spreadsheet of an advisor's students by using the student filter and then clicking the excel icon.
